Yon (4th) Dan Guidelines

Kata:

1. Select any kata except Heian Shodan through Heian Godan and Tekki Shodan
2. Examinee explains and answers examiner's questions regarding areas of technique in kata.

Instruction: Examinee instructs a partner selected by the examiner in response to questions and directions from the examiner in the areas of basic techniques, sparring and kata.

Kumite Or Self-Defense: Examinee presents a written report in advance on his research in either area. Examinee gives an approximate five-minute explanation of his research, followed by an approximate 10-minute demonstration of this research. This is followed by a question and answer session with the examiner.
